About us
Based in Mount Eden, Auckland, Ego-Tech Ltd was created in 2018, by two entrepreneurial business partners. They saw that the market for e-bikes in New Zealand was very much in its infancy. Together, they knew their expertise, and connections with top assembly factories in China would give them the ability to bring a higher product quality and lower costs to the consumer market – and there Vemo was born.
The co-founder James believes that e-bikes will play a significant part in the future of Auckland transportation. In the last 20 years since he’s lived there, Auckland’s traffic has increased to levels where bicycles now are a much quicker and convenient way to get around the inner city. But on this note, Auckland is very hilly and makes conventional biking tiring and out of the question for some people, this is where e-bikes make for the perfect fit.

Vemo work with renowned manufactures in China that have years of experience in e-bike design and manufacturing. They travel back and forth from Auckland to China making sure their products are built to a high standard but also handle New Zealand’s difficult conditions and specific requirements..

The factories themselves are high-tech and at the forefront of Chinese engineering, they work with designers from major European markets like France, Germany and the Netherlands.
